How to Let Things Go and 7 Things to Let Go of Today

Published 14 days ago • 1 min read

Hello Reader,

One of my favorite letting go quotes is from Andy Law. He says, "Unless you are prepared to give up something valuable you will never be able to truly change at all, because you'll be forever in the control of things you can't give up."

We could apply this to letting go of so many things, like a painful experience or a misunderstanding. Or maybe it's kitchen clutter or social media like Facebook or Instagram. Usually, letting go doesn't feel easy. It’s much more comfortable to hold on tight. A little part of us thinks that if we hold on to all of it, we’ll always have enough. Holding on is safe, comfortable and easy. At least that's what we tell ourselves.

I have some thoughts on letting go to share with you here:

How to Let Things Go and 7 Things to Let Go of Today.

In the spirit of saying no more often for a major time and energy boost, here are seven things to cut out (or say no to) of your life. You don't have to remove all of them or remove them all at once. Start small and notice how letting go of each one...

If you are a beginner minimalist or simplifying your life for the first time or the fiftieth time, these tiny steps will be helpful. There may be a few you've already incorporated into your life and a few new ideas to consider. While it's really not important to call yourself a minimalist, adopting the mindset of a minimalist (especially when it comes to stuff, spending...
